Like any good story, it starts once upon a time.

Ours began in late 2020 in Los Angeles when Maddy, Heartwood's founder, hosted a holiday party for her son and fifty little guests. While searching for tables, chairs, and décor that matched her vision, she discovered that what she was looking for didn't exist.

Undeterred, Maddy scoured online shops and markets until she found the perfect kid pieces and brought her vision to life. However, she faced the dilemma of what to do with all these treasures after the event. This was when Heartwood's roots were officially planted.

Recognizing the opportunity to serve a niche market and longing to infuse her own vision and creativity into special events, Maddy decided to create one of the first boutique children's rental companies in the city. What began as a labor of love still is. Today, Heartwood is operated by parents who, like you, seek to create unforgettable memories for their children with a sophisticated flair.

Several years, events, milestones, and memories later, Heartwood strives each day to create spaces that allow all its clients—parents, kids, and families—to tell their own one-of-a-kind stories.
